Chandigarh University is ranked by many national and international agencies such as QS, NIRF, India Today, The Week, and Outlook. For the first time in 2021, the university was featured in NIRF's Overall and University categories. It is the youngest university in India to be ranked by NIRF. The Week

Chandigarh University is ranked top in the Punjab and Chandigarh Tricity region and first among private universities in North India for engineering. Both these universities are like poles apart in providing courses and both of them have different areas of focus. Hence, students can choose on the basis of which course they want to do and also on the basis of affordability as Chandigarh University charges less as compared to UPES.
