I want to take admission in LPU for civil engineering? Is it worth to do the same?

Well, I can give you the answer of this question based on the feedback received from my brother is currently studying Civil Engineering at LPU. Although I have completed MBA from this University but I had friends from Civil engineering department also. So, following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: - 1. Most of the faculty staff is from reputed organizations with their the highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty have got previous industrial experience also. 2. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. This is beneficial to enhance your presentation skills. 3. There is an internship programme which could be an opportunity for getting work experience and increase your chance to get employment after you pass out. But, of course, your academic record should be good to get this placement option. 4. Industrial visits are organized to nearby construction sites from time to time. There, you can SEE actual construction work going on. Be prepare to have dust on your shoes (believe me, it will be worth a lot). You have to ask questions yourself and trigger interest in the activities around you. 5. About placements-The range can be between 3 Lacs- 6 Lacs. It depends upon the type of company visited and the skills of the students which get placed. Good core companies visit LPU campus for Civil engineering placements, e. g, Simplex Infrastructure, Dharma Consulting, L & T, WSP, Era Infrastructure, etc. Hope this will help you.

Hello, LPU is the best option for Civil Engineering. Being an LPU Alumni, I can say that LPU has experienced faculty members, well-equipped labs, great infrastructure, excellent placements, complete training and placement assistance and lot more and that too at a very low fees and high scholarships. I did my Engineering from LPU and many of my friends were enrolled in Civil Engineering at LPU, So, I will give you the exact picture of Civil Engineering at LPU. Hello, Yes, LPU is the best option for Civil Engineering. There are ample of opportunities for Civil engineering graduates after passing out from LPU. The department has some great tie-ups with leading national companies for placement drives. Major infrastructure companies visit their campus, L & T, Simplex Piles Ltd, Era Infrastructure, Gammon India Ltd to name a few. The starting package can be anything between 45 lacs per annum, depending upon your skills. Apart from that, the six-month internship is an integral part of the B.Tech programme which could be an opportunity for getting work experience and increase ones chance to get employment after passing out. It is common for them to split their time between working in an office and working outdoors at construction sites so that they can monitor operations or solve problems onsite. Now to work in multilingual environment, there is a high requirement of exposure to both National & International platform at the time of your pursuance of course itself.
