I am glad that you are sure about which stream you have to make your career. Sometimes, it becomes difficult for students to choose the stream. NTA conducts the UGC NET exam twice in a year generally in the month of June and December. June 2019 will be going to be conducted from 20-28 June excluding the Saturday and Sunday. Yes, you can appear in UGC NET exam conducted twice a year by NTA. UGC NET qualified candidates can join any of the top universities of India as an assistant professor and you can also do Ph.D later. Make sure to check all the eligibility criteria before applying to the exam. The first UGC NET exam is going to be held in June 2019 and the dates for form submissions has ended now, so better you prepare for the next exam which will be held in December 2019, keep an eye on official notification by NTA.
