Your future duties and sports journalist job description will depend on which type of media you'll be working with, whether it is newspaper, magazine, TV, radio, or the growing realm of online media. You also may find yourself working as a media coordinator, announcer, or communications r

Journalism is a more specialized course because it focuses on just that-the journalism industry. Journalism graduates will have a more solid knowledge in reporting and writing. Now if you want to really work in a magazine, I suggest you pursue a career in journalism.

First of all, mass communications is a more generalized approach. If you take up mass communications, you'll learn basic information about broadcasting, communication research, production and journalism.
