I want to work with the companies like Google and Microsoft. Which course and college should I pursue for the same?

Dear Anushka, Why do you think that being a civil engineer, you can be placed in the IT companies like Google or Microsoft? Well, if you are thinking to work in that types of companies, then let me tell you certain things about them. (1) It is very rare that they comes for campus placement. And, even if they comes, only in IITs or IISs. So, forget about Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, because the brand value of your colleges matters a lot. (2) There are 99% chances that they don't hire freshers. (3) Graduation in CSE and IT is preferred. (4) Don't just relay in your academics. Be excellent in extracurricular activities. (5) Try to obtain your Masters from any Foreign University (like Wharton, Stanford, Duke, Harvard, MIT, CalTech, NYIF etc). Chances of selection will boom.
