Being an alumni of LPU I would suggest that Lpu is the best option to study biotechnology. B.Tech Biotechnology is a 4 year undergraduate level degree programme that involves Chemical Engineering Principles and Applied Biology that considers the use of living things in Engineering, Technology, Medicine and other useful applications. LPUs biotech programme is an Engineering programme which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects pertaining to biotechnology for building the problem solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. The average CTC offered to B.Sc. Biotechnology students is INR 2.24 LPA. The highest package offered to the students is INR 10 LPA. Students who have graduated with B.Sc. Biotechnology degree from LPU receive 100% placements. Dear Gayatri, The best colleges or institutes for the B.Tech in Biotechnology programme are IITs, NITs, Amrita, LPU, Amity, MIT, etc. My friend did B.Tech in Biotechnology from LPU and now working in an MNC with a good salary package. After having a B.Tech degree from LPU in biotech. , students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs, and institutions in India. However, most Indian students tend to go abroad to pursue their Masters or doctorate studies in Biotechnology and allied fields. Some students also shift to MBA and enter the world of business, finance, and banking as their engineering background gives them the required quantitative skills to excel in these sectors. Also, many students shift to software through on-campus placements. The LPU Biotech students have a vast scope as they can work in sectors of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, healthcare, food processing, nutrition, animal Science, and environmental conservation. There are many colleges and universities which are providing this course but It will be advisable if you do your degree from a well-known university like LPU and which provides prime placement opportunities, outstanding exposure, and professional enhancement training. Since this field is highly research-oriented, vast, and diverse, it is highly recommended that students pursue their graduate studies in Biotechnology at LPU, Biomedical Sciences, Biological sciences, Bioprocess Engineering, etc. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every one of eligible students to secure a good placement.
