I wanted to know whether a 1 year masters course has the same credibility as a 2 years masters program?

The masters course is in Molecular Biology/ Medical Genetics. How good are the job opportunities for these subjects (with only masters) in India as well as abroad? and will a 1 year masters course be valid for teaching jobs in India?
