I wanted to pursue M.A in anthropology but I am a bit confused regarding the potential of the course as I am an English literature student?

It's not a routine subject but very interesting nonetheless. It's actually a study of homo-sapiens. There is enough potential for the students. Teaching, research, HR, etc. Of course, a number of jobs are not very many but then not very many students pass out. So, it matches. But I would advise you to select this subject only if you like this subject.
