i was detained in my 1st year due to serious health problem...will this affect my chances for getting good job...

No, not at all. As long as you have good grades and relatively good knowledge on your branch of study, nothing matters. One of my friends, had 2 year backs because of his low marks. He took 6 years to finish engineering, now, he works with EBay. Nothing matters as long as you're talented.
