I was planning to study MS in Australia & secured 54% in XII and 61% in B.Tech, am I eligible for MS course?
I heard that to do MS in Australia, a student must have 65% in XII, is this necessary?

No, it is not necessary to secure 65% in class 12th, but yes, you have to score good in IELTS or TOEFL. IELTS or TOEFL score matters a lot for getting admission in foreign universities.

Yes you are eligible. You need IELTS 6.5 and minimum 6 in all componants.
