Prasanth, There are several careers in media in writing, production or post production. you can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualizations. you may even be a graphic artist who designs the screens, or an animator who brings stories to life as a proxy actor for onscreen characters. you can get into production, whether live or animated. You can be a story writer who writes for live and animated screens or even roll the story into a video/ pc game. you can be a script writer who would stop at nothing to give wonderful scene setups to bring the story to life. you could be an artist who designs characters or who storyboards the film for live or animated performance. you can also double up as a voice over artist who gives his/ her voice to the characters or dub for movie stars, or even be a radio star. you can alternatively look at web for a web of careers in web design, online marketing, search engine optimization, content writing, social media promoting. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world &amp; hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers. If you are really wish to have a bright future thank out of the convention. Think different and consider moving towards the best to live and work countries which are surely not in the west but in the Middle East. Why most students follow the conventional path of studying in India or in the west? Why Indian students are obsessed with the west? Is it the 200 years of colonial mindset? Most of them struggle to survive in the west and work for peanuts in India. So called 'average', 'above average' and below 'average' students (although it is judged by marks to which I personally don't subscribe to) must look at countries like Bahrain and UAE for their destination for bachelor and masters degrees because the GCC region still the best for job opportunities, offering excellent tax free salaries, and most safe and secured high standard of living that one cannot expect in the west unless they are immensely gifted and possessing extra-ordinarily talented. You cannot have better career so easily unless you are highly influential and lucky.
