i whant to do preparation of IAS after 12th ("commerce) what subjet i should choose after 12th so i can get support in IAS?

    HI,
    The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) of India conducts the exam and on the basis of the result IAS, IPS, IFS officers are selected.
    As you are in your 12th you have 3 years time for preparation, as you need to have a graduate degree to be eligible to take this test.
    For preliminary test preparation , you should be aware of all the current affairs, plus you should prepare well for general knowledge, you should develop a habit of reading news papers, magazines and journals daily, as this will help you to prepare well for GK and current affairs.

    Hi Piyush, to help you, India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
    UPSC conducts civil services examination every year in the month of May and June and its main exam is in the month of December. The notification for this exam comes out in the month of January end.
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
    1)A candidate should have a degree of graduation in any field from any recognized university.
    2)A candidate in his final year is also eligible for the civil services exam. (IPS, IFS, IAS)

    hi .
    Best way to start is from Basics i.e. NCERT Books of Class 6th to Class 12th.
    - For History - NCERT + Spectrums Modern India
    - Geography - NCERT + GoCheng leong + a good atlas like orient longman/oxford.
    - Polity - NCERT + any good guide book like laxmikanth's indian polity/ Jojo mathews's Indian constitution and polity.
    - Science - i think Ncert class 6th to class 12th is more than enough.
    - Economy - NCERT class 11th and 12th + pratiyogita darpan's special issue on indian economy + Read and make notes of newspaper about current economy.

    you should have to start study of general study , you can prefer spectrum book for General study, CSR magazine for current affairs , maths from6-10 class this is first step for preparation for UPSC exam visit civilserviceindia.com

    Although, you still have three years of preparation as you can only appear for IAS after Graduation but the most important thing which you should keep in mind while choosing the optional subjects in the Final Examination is that you should take up those subjects with which you are completely comfortable with and have good hold on the its fundamentals.
