I wish to change my career from Software Engg to Architecture/Interior Design. Is this a right decision?Any short term courses in Bangalore?
I have completed BE Info.Sc. Working for 3 yrs as Software Engg. Always had a creative and artistic interest. Looking for a short term, part time courses in Bangalore to improve my skills in this field to start my new career. Also, please guide if the career change would be a right decision.

Anu, Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. They must read this http://bit.ly/SXc9GD. Again like science it pays to be at the cutting edge. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Switching careers is not advisable, specially when you have been associated in this industry since past 3 years.
If the student is interested in taking his career forward, eligibility for postgraduate programmes will be on the basis of a bachelor's degree in (B.E/B.Tech) or any other equivalent branches of engineering. The duration for this course is two years.
However, you can pursue some technical courses in Design like CADD
