I wish to join Diploma in bakery and confectionery, how should I proceed?

I want to join Diploma in Bakery and confectionery. When do I approach? Do I need to take any other exams? I have only 50% in PUC & am 24-years old. Will I be eligible for the course? Can I join in October? Please advise.
