I wish to pursue a degree in psychology since am a counsellor by profession. Will MA in psychology be the right degree for upgrading myself?

Yes, of course, it will help you. Psychology and counselling are interrelated and interdependent. They both go hand in hand. So yes, it is a great course to be pursued if you want to go ahead as a counsellor.
