i wish to pursue my career as an aircraft maintenance engineer , are there a lot of opportunities for the same in india ?

i dropped out of my engineering (2nd year) and wish to pursue a career in the aviation industry now . i scored a 71% in the 12th standard. i just wish to know scope of this career in india as i am switching my field now and can one move up the ladder in the same filed ?
