I would like to enroll myself into 1 year PGDM course in HR. what are the careers prospects after doing the course?

Human Resource Management, which in modern nomenclature is represented as Human Capital Management also is a vast field of study. there are various verticals to explore after doing HR Course, depending on your interest. for example you can be in Recruitment (Talent Acquisition), Training & Development, Compensation, Talent Management, and many more.

Having worked across various industries for over 20 years, let me start by stating that HR is a very critical function in any organization. The HR department by itself gives direction to the intellectual capital to achieve organizational goals and thereby facilitates employees achieve individual goals. As I see it, HR professionals are just like teachers. They are born and not made. I do accept there are two schools of thought. Apart from having innate skills, you also need to have a strong background in sociology or psychology to succeed in HR. I do not know what prompted you to think on these lines. Assuming that it is a well thought of decision, I would advice you to pursue the one year distance program offered by The Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD).
