I am not an aeronautical engineering expert myself but I had read a very excellent answer to a similar question at some forum recently, which went like this:
Do not let anyone tell you that Aeronautical Engineering is very lucrative or very much in demand or will take you places. Well, it will take you places, i.e. you will have to relocate a lot until you get lucky and find a good company and stable job. You need to be either at the top of your class or need very good contacts in the aero industry to really be able to get a job. Otherwise, aerospace engineering might overqualify you for just about everything in market. Leave no stones

Aeronautical Engineering is an offshoot of Mechanical Engineering , The value is always there if you are Completing it from a reputed Institute and with Good score.
