VLSI/ Embedded systems may be the area you are trying for. Short courses are being run by CDAC and DOEACC Centres all over India. You can also specialise further in these areas.

Today computer & electronics are complementary to each other. Do electronics related software courses like design courses in electronics, analytical courses, network courses etc.
