It's nice to know that you're pursuing commercial art. You're exactly the kind of profile who can do well in the animation field. i would not recommend online learning route mainly because you may not be sure of the credentials of the company. there are some good sources online but they are too costly for most indians. however do let me know if there is an option to do formal learning for you. otherwise, try to choose an area and try to practice using online tutorials. however, it is going to be a tough path without a specific curriculum and reviewer. Dear Hussain, I defenitetly do not suggest online or any distance education course for Animation as Animation is practical oriented. You defintely need to practice it in lab. Otherwise it impossible to work on this area. You better join any institute in your city. -Hemanth (www.anitech.in) or facebook.com/anitechbangalore

    Hi Hussain,
Although, you being from commercial arts background definitely can get into the field of Animation but if you want to do online programme, I don't think you would find many Institutes providing such programmes online. Moreover online programmes have still not got recognition of education authorities in India, so even if you get an online programme how much value it would hold is really doubtful so, I would suggest you to do a full time programme through institutes like Arena, which will have good value in the job market.
Hope my answer has helped you in resolving your query. For any further Clarification do post more Query, i
