After completing your diploma, you can try for Lateral entry by giving LEET exam. However, the eligibility may vary from institute to institute.

Chemical Engineering graduates can gain good job opportunities in manufacturing and service industries such as food, materials, specialty chemicals, plastics, power production, biotechnology, Tyre manufacturing, nanotechnology, mining process, mineral based industries, petrochemical, plants, pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibers, chemical engineering designs, nuclear energy, materials science, development of new sources of energy and even medicine. Some opt to work in laboratories and universities as a professor.
Those interested in government jobs have to clear Engineering Service Examinations conducted by the UPSC.

The salary package for aspirants having graduation degree may vary from Rs. 15,000 to Rs 20,000 per month. A lot would depend upon the work experience and organization.
Here is the basic eligibility for pursuing B.E in Chemical Engineering:
Aspirant must have must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics
Candiate must have scored minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Computer Science.
As various institutes conduct their own entrance examination as a gateway for admission in their colleges.
In IIT admission is made through a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted on an All India level
