If a candidate is studying in B Tech first year and wants to take admission in the second year at SIT, what is the procedure?

    There are two ways through which a candidate can get admission to the second year of B.Tech programme at SIT:

    1. Lateral Entry: Candidates who have completed their Diploma Course/ Diploma in vocational Course from any recognised Polytechnic College, passed Diploma in Vocational stream in the same or allied sector as per AICTE norms, or passed B Sc Degree from a recognised university as defined by UGC with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) and passed H.S.C with mathematics as a subject as per AICTE norms can apply for lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech programme at SIT.     For admission in the second year at SIT 

    Following are the steps.

    • Fill the form for lateral entry at SIT official website which is around 750 rs + gst.

    • upload all the required documents and branch preferences.

    • wait for documents verification process it may take a week.

    • merit listing (branch allocation step)

    After the document verification and eligibility check, the merit list will be prepared and candidates will be informed through e-mail

    • fee payment for B.Tech 2nd year.

    • hostel allocation and fees. (optional)

    • final original document submission (required at time of admission physically report
