If a student passed in 5 subjects but failed in the 6th subject i.e.maths. Is it mandatory to pass the 6th subject as well?

There is no compartment mentioned and the result is declared as pass. How to clear the 6th subject maths?

    If Maths is not your main subject, then you don't have to worry about that, but if you really want to pass it you have to give supplementary exam for that.

    Yes, it is mandatory to pass in mathematics as CBSE permits only five subjects. Some schools permit 6 subjects as to upgrade the marks. But only best of 5 are taken.

    You cannot pass your class 12th if you fail in mathematics. Do contact the board.

    Good question, if you have passed in 5 subjects, but not in 6th subject, then you will be consider as ATKT promoted and you have to give supplementary exam again.

    Yeah u need to pass in all 6 subjects in 10th standard .otherwise u may not get admission or mayb declared as fail

    To pass the main subject is important because maths isn't an additional subject. Yes, it is important.

Yes, you can get admission in Fine Arts at Chandigarh University even if you did not study Maths in 12th. For this course, subject choice in school does not matter much.
