If you pass GATE, you can get admission in good IITs to pursue your M.Tech course. Your GATE scorecard is also valid for getting good jobs with good packages.

You can do M.Tech. If you secure good rank in GATE you should have a good chance to get an admission in IIT where you can get a very good scope of technical knowledge a good salary package if you didn't get a good rank in GATE that's okay you can still avail the stipend for your master degree in technical field and after that you can be a teacher in engineering colleges or you can be a any job aspirant after that the job scope is also very high many of the companies who wants the person with a post graduation degree and the pay package of PO post graduation person is also high. In order to solve your query I would like to inform you that Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and Seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
M.Tech aspirants can apply for GATE exam as it is an all India test. The test is administered by top technology institutes.
