If I appear for NIMCET can I still get admission in other colleges except for NITs?

I'm a SCIT graduate and want to apply for MCA but recently I came across NIMCET and NITs and I wanted to know if instead of MH-CET if I apply for NIMCET would I still be eligible for admission in other government recognized universities or private universities? I want to apply for NIT, Surathkal.

    Yes, NIMCET opens doors for many other reputed colleges other than NITs. NITK Surathkal accepts only NIMCET.
