As a graduate in CSE, I should say, that the bulk employments from big Service based industries, we had during the 20062012 is over. But still employment would not get dry or reduce, but would be scattered in various new technologies. Any CSE student should make himself/herself job-ready when he/she completes the course. Apart from curriculum and syllabus, it is always better to learn new technologies and keep yourself updated. But not at the cost of syllabus. The syllabus is the basic one and every graduate is expected to be completely master in it.
