If I do ME and not M.Tech, will I be benefited in my career?

I am in my final year of engineering. I have cleared all the exams with first class. I want to study further. My Gate exam score is little less for it to be qualified. So, I can't do M.Tech. Should I go for ME? Will it be beneficial? And if yes, then how?

It doesn't matter because there is no difference between M.E. and M.Tech. Both have equal reputation. A university will just adopt it. Like in India, we use BE or B.Tech. In USA, it is BS. ME and M.Tech are equivalent to MS.
