If I fail in maths as the main subject in HS West Bengal board but pass in 5 subjects, can I give it again?

Maths is an important subject and counted in every entrance exam. Like if you wants to go in engineering stream than your three main subjects (PCM) will be counted as qualifying exam and without passing it you can not appear in any entrance exam. Hence, you have to give it again.
