If I fail in my additional subject will I be eligible to take admission in LPU for B.Sc. Agriculture?

Hi, Being an Education Consultant, I know it is very tricky. Few institutes are considering and few are not considering it. As far as LPU concerned, I know that they are very strict especially in the eligibility criteria and they do their verification process in various steps. So, no one can make fool of them. First thing, you should keep on your mind: 1. Although, an English subject could not be additional still by any chance LPU will not consider you eligible if you failed in English subject. 2. Irrespective of the fact that you are failed in an additional subject if your respective Education board (must be approved by COBSE) write your result as a pass then only LPU will consider you eligible. 3. LPU does not entertain Re-appear cases, there are many special conditions, but nutshell is, you have to produce the result in Pass. 4. LPU takes aggregate marks of best of 5 subjects and if the subject in which you are failed is the sixth or additional subject and is not mandatory for the minimum eligibility, then LPU will consider you as an eligible candidate.

The eligibility criteria of B.Sc. Hons Agriculture programme I. e. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years. Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. So it totally depends that you have to qualify the above criteria. Lovely professional university is the first private university to get accreditation from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). LPU provides the quality education by the well qualified teachers. LPU has become a brand across the globe. It has various national and international tie-ups. LPU provides a proper atmosphere or environment for agriculture students. In this stream as most of the work is fieldwork, there every student is allocated a separate piece of land to perform their tasks in the supervision of the staff. Students here are given the opportunity to work on the live projects. University provides additional professional enhancement classes as part of the curriculum to prepare the students for all types of competitive exams. LPU excels in terms of placement as well. Students of agriculture are availing a good amount of packages from the recruiters. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, and many other firms. In the situation of Covid-19, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms. Because of which LPU NEST is not compulsory for all the programmes. As for this programme LPU NEST works for scholarship purpose only. As per the eligibility criteria of B.Sc. Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. So it totally depends that you have to qualify the above criteria. LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. The package really depends on what he can show to the recruiters that, how much he is worth or deserved. There were some students who cracked the placement and got offered 1 crore LPA, while many failed to do so. On an average, the Agriculture students of LPU is offered and placed in the starting package of 5.5 TO 6 LPA (Fixed salary) while there may be cases of students getting less than that or more than that. Like I said, LPU will provide you the platform and the opportunity, but it is really you who have to go and perform on the platform being provided.
