If I get based on merit list, how long do I have to confirm my seat and pay fee? I'm also waiting for my NIFT results on 25th May.

How long can I wait for registration?

    I would suggest you first wait for NIFT results as NIFT is far better than the other colleges which you are applying and about confirming and paying fee, the date goes till June first week.
