If i get kt in sem 6. then will i get to give my kt exam in the same year or next year?

i have cleared my sem 5 no kt.. i am afraid to get one kt in sem 6.. what if i get one kt and all papers are cleared.. but if i want to give the kt exam.. it will b held asap or i wud have to take a gap.. plz help me thanks :)
