Any engineering will not and cannot assure you a job with Google. It will be important for you to understand the requirements of Google at the time of you completing your engineering. It is also worth mentioning that Google is now a large company with activities in diverse sectors, for example, Google Maps will need different skills and background as compared to Android operating system.
At this stage, it is important for you to concentrate on getting an admission into a good engineering college, preferably one of the original IIT and then complete your engineering with good grades and a solid understanding of concepts.

Yes, why not. Even in a survey, it has been found that alumni of engineering institutions are performing better than the any other institutions. As far as Google is concerned, it may not prefer you like an IITian but Google is open for everyone. They just need your skills. That's enough. But yes you need to match their standard.
To be honest, having a degree in XYZ field does not alway mean that you need to be employed in XYZ field only. I have seen a lot of engineers, especially from the Civil background migrating to IT.
Yes, it is true that you will require certain characteristics to match the given profile but there is always a po

There is no sure shot chance for getting a top notch job offer at Google irrespective of any IIT or NIT.

They would highly consider soft skills, social media presence, general knowledge, aptitude ability, psychometric evaluation, etc.
You can rather choose MCA or BCA or B.Sc IT if not engineering to pursue dream offer-from google Inc.
    Eligibility Criteria goes as below.

Engineering degree will not let you fall automatically in Google. You will have to work harder and harder to build and prepare yourself for Google during your academic period. Google has a very different and unique hiring policy.
Google also visits campuses for hiring but it happens once in 3-4 years. So, now you can understand the competition level.
