‘STEP’ up with Oberoi's Hospitality Training Programme
‘STEP’ (Systematic Training and Educational Programme) gives you on-the-job-training at Oberoi Group while you pursue a Bachelor of Tourism Studies (BTS) degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
Launched in the year 2004, STEP is a three year programme giving students the competitive edge to acquire specialised training and knowledge either in Kitchen Operations or Hotel Operations while they pursue a degree from IGNOU.
Eligibility criteria:
• Candidates need to have passed class XII
• Aged between 17 and 20
• Strong academic performance in class X and XII (minimum 50% aggregate and 55% in English in class X).

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Society) was set up in the year 1982 by the Government of India as an autonomous body for coordinated growth and development of hospitality education in the country. Initially, the Council was set up as the National Board of Studies in Food Management, Catering & Nutrition under the administrative control of Ministry of Agriculture (Department of Food) and subsequently transferred to the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India in the year 1984.
Eligibility
A pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2015 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30-09-2015.
