If I learn British English, Am I able to well communicate to Americans and understand what they speak?

Ashish, understanding the communication in English language and making the other person understand what you speak or write does not actually require learning English at a high level. Communication can be done even if your level of expression is on the lower side. Having said this, if in your career / job English language plays a very important role then it is mandatory that you learn the grammer of it. Yes, proficiency in British English would be good enough to communicate with the Americans. Don't worry about that. They might even like it more.

8 years agoMost students in India think of America and an American job. Isn't it a fact that America and India enjoy a mutually benefitting relationship and it is stronger than any other? In our own interests, our orientation should be towards American. It is incorrect to say that British English is similar to American English.
