    Coimbatore Government Law College which is affiliated to TNDALU (Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University) The admission to this college is merit based and there is no entrance test Examination indicating eligibility for LLB programs in TNDALU and affiliated colleges, Coimbatore Government Law College requires candidates to possess a Bachelor's Degree or pass 10+2 in any subject from a recognized Board at least have secured aggregate 45% marks for General and 40% in OBC categories , SC/ST category. The so called merit position results in a percentage of 63.18 so as the cutoff for the respective year at the Government Law College, Coimbatore for 3-year LLB course. The merit limit pegged for general category candidates in most law colleges for a 3-year LLB course is 50-60 per cent though it differs every year depending on the butt neck of applicants. For example, 63.18% may still be a reasonable cutoff level with a lower cutoff for the year selected. However, it is preferable to review the official cutoff trends for the present year for a better evaluation and recent data.

B.A. LL.B. cut off at Government Law College, Coimbatore depends on the applicant's performance in the CLAT or entrance test of the college as well as the marks obtained in the qualifying exam. For general category candidates, the cutoff often falls slightly below 85%-90% in the qualifying exam. In the following ranks of students awaiting admission, candidates with better scores in the entrance exam may enjoy some form of accommodation.
