If I score a seat in a top NIT (M.Tech CSE), should I accept it or drop 1 year to try scoring for IIT next year.

I have a GATE 2021 score of 499 CS (SC category). If I score a seat in a NIT, will it be wise to leave that seat and try for IIT next year? I currently have 1 year education gap (after 12th). Also I currently don't have any job offers in hand.
