If I scored 40% in 12th, can I get admission for engineering? I scored 54 marks in JEE Mains and I am from ST category.

Most of the admission processes and colleges have criteria of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Maths Group. There may be the concession for Category students about 45%, and if you really want an admission in Engineering, then try through Management seats from the college level. And, if it still not

I don't think dear that 40% is too good to be eligible for any course but still, you can try for the courses which have entrance and try your luck there. I guess, eligibility does not matter there. All the best.

Minimum marks required are 60% with PCM.
