    The course content is such that it covers a little bit of every engineering discipline, before focusing on the core Electronics and Instrumentation subjects. This helps in making a switch to other disciplines (eg. Computer Science) if anyone wishes to. Many students from this stream go to good universities abroad to pursue MS/ Ph.D. in their desired fields of interest, every year. There are seats in the IITs and IISC too, where it is relatively more difficult to get in, because of the fierce competition. Jobs prospects:
