if it is true that 70% of the engineers are unemployed then why are more and more students are opting for engineering as a career ?

i am currently in class 11 and have taken pcm as my stream.

Not much of the engineers are unemployed as you are saying but some how day by day unemployment is increasing in this field that is a major concern however still engineering provide maximum jobs to the graduates as compared to other streams, that is the reason people are still opting engineering.
