If one has done M.Sc in plant biotechnology, can he/she appear in UGC NET and CSIR NET? What should one prefer?

Yes, you can appear for the NET exam. If you clear both then you will get a chance to teach in colleges as a professor or you can choose to pursue PhD. Or can become a research fellow and do research via CSIR.
