Yes of course. Once you are done with your graduation and if you have achieved a high score in xat exam, you have a good chance of getting a call. Converting the call depends on many other factors like your profile CV etc. You may be questioned about your backlog once you reach the interview stage,

Sir then why the XLRI is asking the shortlisted students to submitted the academic marksheets, certificates and non academic achievements (i.e. work experience .etc.) to submit before 5th FEBRUARY is this because they want to shortlist the students for interview on the basis of academics

Yes, it is possible as I know a student who completed his 4 year course in 5 years back log and is one of my friends at XL.
