If we do not consider the price factor, which college among Thapar and VIT is good for pursuing B.Tech in computer science?

B.Tech at TIET Patiala is a 4-year programme divided into 8 semesters, with 2 semesters each academic year.

For 2026-27, check the official academic calendar because the exact class starting date can change. Usually BTech classes start around July/August. Better check the admission portal once your admission is confirmed.

Usually Thapar BTech admissions start around May, after JEE Main results are declared. You can apply through the official Thapar website. Keep checking the admission dates as they can change every year.

Yes, Thapar Patiala has hostel facility for both boys and girls. Hostels are inside campus and you get Wi-Fi, mess, laundry, common rooms, gym etc. Security is also there 24x7.

Thapar Patiala campus is around 250 acres. It is quite spacious and green, with hostels, academic blocks, sports facilities, library etc.
