Hello Kiran, Graduation in any field is the criteria of eligibility for giving civil service exam. Whether B.A. Or B.Sc. Or MBBS or BE, it does not matter. What matters most is your knowledge of the subject.

If your aim is to join civil services, then B.A. will be best for you. You will get the UG degree in a short span of 3 years, and then you can appear for the exam. Going for an engineering degree is not suggested, because it will take 4 years and in most cases a year of drop after class 12th is required. Just join Government College, it is better to go for any 3 year UG course and prepare for UPSC with full power. I will suggest you to go for B.A. .
