See ratio of no. of companies visiting campus to no. of students is more in IIIT. In simpler words more opportunity in IIIT. You'll enjoy coding environment. You can check spoj and other coding sites. IIIT is at better position than MNNIT. Even fests are better than that of MNNIT.
But at MNNIT you'll enjoy all the name and fame of college. Fees is also less and you'll get a good job opportunity.
You can opt for any. But I'll strongly suggest to go for MNNIT. You won't regret your decision.

I think it's difficult for you to get MNNIT CSE if you belong to general category. According to me, both are good, but in MNNIT, you can opt for IT and after 1st year if your CPI is good (above 8.5) then you can change your branch to CSE.

Both colleges are decent. Prefer NIT, Allahabad as the college environment is impressive you'll get a whole lot of exposure though IIIT, Banglore has a slight advantage of better location though MNNIT has its name brand across the country. If you get it go for sure else IIIT, Banglore is also a nice option to have.
