Im stdnt of ECE but im passionate about mechanical eng.or mechatronics .tell me wt to do to make carrer in this feild.

Tell me how can i make my carrer in mechanical engineering while studying ECE at NIT . i am 2nd year student. i am passionate for automation but tell me options except M.TECH. in mechatronics. is distance learning an option.i want sound knwldg of dis feild.
