No Sponsorship is required for admission in DNS. U only need to qualify the IMU entrance test . For pursuing dns you need to fill the preference list in the application form. According to your rank you will get your college and branch.

First of all, I want to tell you that there many engineers who have done DNS but they are jobless. Companies did not hire them.
So, for job security, you need to take sponsorship so that after completing the course, you will get a job in a sponsored company.
So, yes, you definitely need to take a sponsorship.
