In 2019, is it safe to do AMIE after Diploma as MHRD has withdrawn its recognition for equivalence in government jobs?

It is better to do B.Tech lateral. AMIE is good for people those are in jobs. But, not good for fresh Diploma engineer from job point of view, because most of the recruiters ask about the regular B.Tech degree.
