Your 2 years gap would not be a problem if you offer a genuine reason when applying for jobs like personal problem, health issue, etc. I would advice you to be very confident while answering the above. And also go very well prepared with the recent trends in the industry, it would increase your chances of recruitment. And as far as salary is concerned, that depends on your profile, skills and varies from one company to another. But yes, you can definitely expect higher then your previous package.
