Hello Bhumika, yes indeed like any other branch of engineering students of civil engineering branch also get placed during their final year of engineering. The thing to understand is that depending on the industrial situation prevailing when you will be passing out and of course the corresponding economic condition of the country different companies will come for placements of students of different colleges. So rather than the branch of the engineering it's the economic condition four years from today when you will be passing out will play a vitally important role in getting placed after completion of the degree course.
