    There are two steps to the SSB interview process for NDAs: Stage 1 and Stage 2. Written exams are used in Stage 1 to evaluate a candidate's IQ and personality. In contrast, Stage 2 of the exam consists of a number of assessments and activities meant to gauge a candidate's suitability for a position as an officer in the Indian Military Forces.

    The NDA exam is administered twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to select male and female applicants for admission to the Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) and its Army, Navy, and Air Force branches. Two steps make up the NDA selection process: a written exam and an SSB interview. The five-day SSB interview is conducted in two sections. The Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR), Picture Perception and Description Tests (PP and DT), and other assessments make up Stage I.     The SSB Interview of NDA exam is conducted in two stages. Stage 1 of the SSB Interview comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT). Stage 2 comprises Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference. The SSB interview is conducted for candidates who qualify the written exam. Candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks in SSB interview. The total marks allotted to the SSB interview are 900. SSB interview is also taken into consideration for preparing the final merit list.
